We launched a coffee roaster!
Through the Roosevelt Coffee Roasters, we began roasting coffee in Franklinton in August. Our profits go to furthering our efforts to feed the hungry, provide clean water, and act to stop human trafficking.
Roasting our own coffee for the Roosevelt Coffeehouse stretches our financial impact by removing costs of buying from other roasters. And it’s also opened the door for a new line of business through wholesale relationships, allowing us to support businesses, restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries around Columbus and beyond by providing them with our coffee. In three months, we’ve climbed to thirteen wholesale accounts—and we believe it’d be a good thing if every business in Columbus served our specialty coffee.
We’ve crafted fifteen roasts already with our full selection at www.roosevelt.coffee and shops like The Roosevelt Coffeehouse, Olentangy River Brewing, Paper City Coffee, and Third Way Cafe.
To create a visual identity that connects with our roasts, the packaging for each coffee features an illustrated animal characteristic of its country of origin, such as the Ethiopia Lion, Kenya Buffalo, and Griffin espresso, a fantasy creature representative of the blend’s multiple regions of origin. We are loving our new Winter Blend animal. Check out our site to see what it looks like.
Best of all, you can trust that we hold ourselves to the highest sourcing standards. We work with importers that are committed to the farmers’ livelihood. We are committed to working only with people that align with our mission, from sourcing partnerships to our wholesale accounts to the charities we donate to.
We stand by that.
